Fall into next season's hair trends

September is here, and fall is right around the corner! With the leaves changing colors, we’re getting inspired to do some color changing ourselves.

Which color trends are going to stay with the change of the season?

Balayage has been the hottest hair color trend for this summer, but is it only for sun kissed beachy locks? The lighting technique is actually the perfect foundation for a multi dimensional fall color! If you already have a blonde balayage, just have your stylist darken your root color and add any of these rich tones into your highlighted pieces.

Copper and gold

Each time you lighten your hair it will naturally lift with orange, red or yellow undertones, and since fall is all about warm colors it’s the perfect time to embrace your natural warmth. Instead of canceling out the warm tones, enhance them! Next time you go in for a balayage or highlight ask for a golden or copper toner for an easy fall-ready mane!

Bronde

If you’re not willing to give up your bleach blonde locks, but still want a fall inspired color, we’ve got your back. Bronde is trending for all seasons this year, not quite brown and not quite blonde, this is the perfect way to add some depth to your color. Create a permanent bronde with an all over color, or for less of a commitment try out a toner that will slowly fade out.

Marsala

Deep reds and wine tones are the epitome of fall ready hair, and it’s a total bonus that Marsala was Pantone’s color of 2015. Add some highlight or lowlight pieces of marsala for dimension in any color. Just ask your stylist for a deep wine red with a touch of a rich brown.

Chocolate brown

Deepen up your brunette locks with a rich chocolate brown. If your hair has gradually lightened from the summer sun, it’s time to bring back that dimension and shine! Rich brunettes can reflect the light perfectly to appear healthy and full, and give new life to your hair in the new season.

Strawberrry blonde

Strawberry blonde can be the perfect addition to any hair color, and it can also mean a variety of shades. Added as a lowlight on a light blonde, these peachy pink pieces can give the hair lots of dimension and depth. For darker hair, strawberry highlights provide lightness and movement, with the ability to draw attention to brighter areas like around the face.
